About the event
This month’s Char Talk, hosted by the Minnesota Biochar Initiative, on July 7 at 9 AM - 10:30 AM CST (special time) celebrates the launch of Biochar: Fueling a New Economy in the Developing World, a new book that explores the transformative potential of biochar to drive both economic development and climate action around the globe.
Written by leading experts and grounded in peer-reviewed research and real-world experience, the book highlights how biochar can create opportunities that scale from individual entrepreneurs and farming communities to regional and national economies. The discussion will explore the many ways biochar can support financial resilience, livelihood development, sustainable resource management, and climate change mitigation.
During this special event, attendees will hear directly from the book’s editors and contributing authors as they share insights from their chapters, discuss emerging opportunities within the global biochar sector, and reflect on the role biochar can play in building a more sustainable and equitable future.
Designed for entrepreneurs, project developers, policymakers, researchers, farmers, and sustainability professionals, this session offers a unique opportunity to engage with global thought leaders and gain perspectives from across the biochar ecosystem.
RSVP now to join us for this special conversation, and don't forget to bring your questions. If you can’t attend, a recording, transcript, and presentation materials will be shared afterward. Thank you for supporting the Minnesota Biochar Initiative (MNBI).
